What is an Agent?
Simply put, an Agent is a digital assistant that can interact with and follow instructions from your team.
When provided with documents like PDFs of your standard operating procedures, the Agent can quickly read and respond to your team's questions accurately.
Equipped with various capabilities, the Agent can perform tasks such as data entry, research, managing email correspondence, personalized marketing, and even delivering results directly to your team's Email, Slack or WhatsApp.
Build Knowledge
Agents are taught how to think, approach problems, and respond with facts through explicitly defined, public or private enterprise data.
Determine Identity
Determining identity involves selecting a unique voice and behavioral traits for an Agent that align with a brand's identity and values. This process ensures the Agent engages with users in a manner that is consistent, relatable, and reflective of the company's culture, enhancing the overall user experience.
Executes Tools
By harness the power of APIs and hard coded functions, Agents integrate deeply with business tools and processes, enabling them to perform tasks autonomously or alongside a team with unmatched intelligence and efficiency on nearly any technology stack.

Agents are assistants that can engage with you through natural language and are capable of completing nearly any task.
A knowledge base is a collection of documentation, often SOPs, technical specifications, product details, pricing sheets, offer descriptions, company details, brand information or any context that should be used by the Agent. These documents are then given to the Agent as a frame of reference which it analyzes before making a decision or giving a response. They are particularly helpful for companies that require non-public information to be used in their day-to-day operations.
Identities are a collection of instructions to the Agent that dictate how it makes decisions and how it responds to its environment. These instructions are incredibly nuanced when done correctly. They help guide the Agent in the right direction and act as a safe guard to the Agent producing incorrect or potentially harmful content.
For those of you familiar with Application Program Interfaces (APIs), you'll understand that an Agent is only limited by the number of APIs available to it. In other words, Agents are able to interact and perform actions like web browsing, pulling stock prices, reading information from your database, adding information to a database or CRM or even placing an order. If you have a particular use case that you'd like to explore, simply grab some time with us or chat with out Agent chatbot.
OpenAI's ChatGPT, or more specifically, the Assistants API is the surface implementation of Persona Agents. Assistants aren't able to execute the functions or store your authentication tokens. This means that while they are a valuable component, they are unable to execute tasks on your behalf.
There are a lot of ways to talk to an AI Agent. The most common is as a chat assistant on your website. Or if you want it to be more private, you can have them live in your Slack account as a regular user. You can even have them dedicated to a phone number and they will engage with inbound messages. These are just some of the ways you might talk to an AI Agent.
The Agent is given guidelines of what to expect in an interaction with a user. Some of these guidelines dictate when a certain action should be executed or simply describes what the action achieves and the Agent can make an informed decision.
